Preserving Memory: International Conference at BTEU

On March 27, our university hosted a large-scale online conference “The Great Patriotic War: Feat, Tragedy, Memory” with the participation of students and postgraduates from 15 cities and 24 educational institutions of Belarus, Russia and Kyrgyzstan!

The following delivered welcoming remarks:
Vice-Rector for Research E.P. Bagryantseva, who noted the importance of patriotic education through research work
Head of the Department of Humanities and Physical Education E.G. Fedortsova, who emphasized the role of the humanities in preserving historical memory

The plenary session heard reports on the atrocities of the Nazis against the civilian population, the role of museums in educational institutions, innovative approaches and technologies during the Great Patriotic War and in the 21st century as a means of developing the historical memory of young people.

Our university was worthily represented by Karina Domasevich with a report entitled “The Role of Museums and Memorials in Preserving the Memory of the Great Patriotic War.”
