Yury Ramanouski, rector of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk: “As part of the strategic partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China, Polotsk University is actively working to promote our country's educational services, particularly our university, in the Chinese educational market. A key aspect of this concept is collaborating with companies that specialize in recruiting Chinese students.
Beijing Total Education International plays a crucial role in attracting students from China to Polotsk University while also fostering collaboration between our institution and various colleges, institutes, and universities in China. This partnership aims to establish a comprehensive suite of joint educational programmes and facilitate student recruitment.
It is essential to highlight our commitment to addressing the company's focus on training specialists in technical disciplines, including ground transportation operations, oil and gas transportation, oil refining, electrical engineering, and technology. We possess the requisite competencies that align with the demands of our partners and prospective students.
Representatives from the company visited our university to assess the presence of the necessary competencies. During their visit, we demonstrated our modern equipment, highlighted the efforts of our lecturers, and presented the scientific research conducted at the university. This meeting was significant in fostering mutual understanding and advancing our collaborative initiatives.
We are planning to initiate joint student recruitment in September 2025, specifically in the field of vehicle operation, in collaboration with the college with which we have established partnership relations”.
Representatives of the company explored the infrastructure and educational initiatives of Polotsk University. Their visit included an exploration of the Smart Education Center, creative laboratories dedicated to architectural and design disciplines, the Social Communications Laboratory, the Multifunctional Center, the Laboratory of Oil and Gas Transportation, and the Industry Laboratory of Oil and Gas Processing.
A delegation from China had the opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of Polotsk, the oldest city in Belarus. During an interactive tour "From the Past to the Future" at the Polotsk Collegium, participants engaged with the region's rich history of education and science. They examined the city's architectural masterpieces and delved into the heritage of Belarusian printing at the Museum of Architecture of St. Sophia Cathedral and the Museum of Belarusian Printing. The visit culminated with an excursion to the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve of Polotsk.
The visit of representatives from Beijing Total Education International marked a significant step in the enhancement of cooperation, paving the way for new opportunities in collaborative projects, the exchange of experiences, and the implementation of innovative solutions within the educational framework.
