BSUIR students and teachers attended lectures of Russian scientists
On February 10, the National Library of Belarus hosted the Nobel Readings, organized by the Belarusian State University and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. The event was held as part of the implementation of the Roadmap for the creation of a unified educational space of the Union State.
BSUIR students listened to lectures on physics dedicated to Nobel laureates John Hopfield and Geoffrey Hinton. The scientists were awarded in 2024 for key discoveries in the field of machine learning and neural networks. A presentation on the topic "Spin glasses as model systems for neural networks" was given by MIPT professor Sergey Panyukov. Professor of the Department of Intelligent Systems of the MIPT Faculty of Management and Government Konstantin Vorontsov lectured on the history of the development of artificial intelligence.
