On June 29, 2023, a delegation of the Minsk State Linguistic University led by Rector Natalya Evgenievna Lapteva attended the opening ceremony of the China and Belarus Exhibition of Goods and Services - 2023.
Thematic venues within the framework of the first day of the annual Exhibition unfolded in the Great Stone Industrial Park. Li Zhonghan, head of the China Merchants Group representative office in Belarus, General Director of the Industrial Park Development Company, took on the role of host of the grand opening ceremony.
Xie Xiaoyong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, and Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Vladimirovich Efimov took on the floor with a welcoming speech to the audience during the opening ceremony.
Representatives of the Moscow State Linguistic University led by Rector Natalya Evgenievna Lapteva joined the event. The university delegation included Vice-Rector for Research Luschinskaya O.V., Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture Oleinik S.E., Directors of the MSLU Confucius Institute Sheng Xuemei and Demyanenko T.A and teachers of the Institute Liu Bao and Hu Yunkun.
The guests of the exhibition, organized by the Industrial Park Development Company are the State Institution Administration of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone and the Chinese Federation of Mechanical Engineering, were given an honor to attend by the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation forum. More than a hundred Belarusian and Chinese companies presented their products at the Exhibition in such categories as cars, motorcycles, textile raw materials, products and equipment, building materials, heating and plumbing, electromechanical equipment, household appliances and electronics, financial services and warehouse logistics.
The program of the event also had numerous presentations on topical issues of industrial partnership between the enterprises of the two countries.
It should be noted that Belarus and China are actively strengthening cooperation in various fields, reaching a new level of partnership every year. The annual Exhibition of Chinese Goods and Services, which will run from June 29 to July 1, 2023, contributes to strengthening ties and building procurement channels between Belarusian and Russian businesses and Chinese manufacturers.
