On October 5-6th, the II Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus is taking place at the premises of BSUIR. Rectors from over 50 universities in Belarus and Tajikistan have gathered to participate in various forum events.
In the section "Development of Innovative Educational Potential," Valentina Bogatyreva, the Rector of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, delivered a presentation on the topic of "Educational and Scientific-Innovative Potential of a Regional University in the Context of Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan."
Within the framework of signed agreements, VSU actively collaborates with partners from Tajikistan. Scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation is conducted with Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini, Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, and Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi. The leaders of all three partner universities also participated in the forum, allowing for discussions on future prospects of joint activities.
At the same time, the first vice-rector of the university and the head of the department for educational work with youth took part in the reception on the occasion of the significant date - the 32nd anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The first vice-rector congratulated the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus Rakhmatulla Djurabaevich Nazarov on Independence Day and presented memorable souvenirs, one of which was a video about the life of students from Uzbekistan at VSU:
“The Republic of Uzbekistan is a strategic partner for VSU named after P.M. Masherov. The foundation of our relations is the scientific and educational sphere. Today, VSU has concluded and signed more than ten contracts and agreements on cooperation in the field of education. Students from Uzbekistan receive a quality education at our university. They joined the Masherov student family and became active participants in various creative competitions and festivals. And we are not going to stop!”
