Visit of the Polotsk University delegation to Sri Lanka

From February 1 to 2, a delegation from Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk officially visited the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The delegation comprised the University Rector, Yury Ramanouski, and the Head of the International Office, Olga Zhuravskaya.
The aim of the visit was to diversify the export of educational services, strengthen cooperation with partner universities in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and enhance the favorable international image of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk.
During the visit, the delegation successfully addressed a number of key objectives aimed at strengthening and developing future cooperation. In particular, negotiations were held with the management of the educational company "AIC Campus" regarding the recruitment of foreign citizens for English-taught IT bachelor's degree programmes, as well as for the preparatory department programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Yury Ramanouski and Olga Zhuravskaya took part in both the graduation ceremony for the preparatory department and an organizational meeting with its students. Discussions at the meeting focused on bachelor's degree admission procedures for IT specialties and opportunities to participate in summer schools. The session also featured a presentation on the scientific and educational capabilities of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk.
During the visit, the delegation monitored the final certification of students enrolled in the preparatory department program and held a meeting with teachers from the educational company "AIC Campus" who deliver instruction for the joint educational programme. The meeting addressed issues of teaching quality and the development of joint teaching and learning materials.
The visit concluded with negotiations with the leadership of the University of Colombo, dedicated to expanding bilateral interaction, implementing research and educational cooperation, organizing and carrying out joint research projects, facilitating academic mobility for students and internships for faculty, as well as participation in the "Visiting Professor" programme.
The events were also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India, Mikhail Kasko.
This visit marks a new stage in the development of international cooperation between Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk and the educational companies and universities of Sri Lanka.
