Burmese delegation at BSTU

10 November 2025

On November 5, 2025, a delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in the Republic of Belarus, led by Consul General Moe Kyaw Tu, visited the Belarusian State Technological University.

This meeting marked another step in developing educational cooperation between the two countries.

BSTU has long worked with Myanmar, educating students from that country. Last year, master's students graduated, and several more are currently continuing their studies, successfully completing master's programs.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Andrei Gavrilyuk noted the strong academic performance of the Burmese students, emphasizing their passion for knowledge and active participation in the educational process.

In turn, Moe Kyaw Tu expressed gratitude for the high quality of specialist training and emphasized that BSTU graduates occupy leadership positions and make a significant contribution to the development of their country's economy. The Burmese side was particularly interested in specialties in forestry, forest industry, and chemical engineering, as well as in unmanned aerial vehicle design and technology. This indicates a commitment to deepening cooperation in training specialists needed for Burmese economic development.

BSTU is committed to continuing its work to train highly qualified specialists capable of contributing to the development of their countries and regions.

Such meetings contribute to strengthening ties between countries and expanding opportunities for students.
